Thinking of setting up a bit of a jam session up in the Midlands who would be interested in coming before I put it forward

I'm in cv47 just out side Coventry

I'd try to come, if I was free on the day.
If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

Bristol. Little bit of a trek, but managable.

Thanks @BKA, also a bit of a trek for me but a possibility - once a date and time has been proposed I'll see if I can make it.

Did you have a (rainproof) venue in mind, @Unichuck1 ? Or just a "meet in the park" type event?

And I thought about a park but I thought something cooler like a castle get some good filming

Yep, castle or similar would be good for scenery. But then you have to consider entance fees, if relevant.
I was just thinking, if you're going for "outdoors", then sooner (September) would be better than later, weather-wise.

Ideas:

I saw this place on TV once, and thought it'd be a great spot to meet/film: http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/witley-court-and-gardens/
But, it's probably only easy to get to by car, and does have a (not too expensive) entrance fee, and is maybe a bit further West than you were thinking.

http://www.coventry.gov.uk/caludoncastlepark is free, but not so scenic.

http://www.coventry.gov.uk/info/136/coombe_country_park/498/coombe_country_park is free (£5 all-day parking) and looks pretty. Might be a winner?
