Round 2
Deadline: Thursday, September 14th, 16:00 BST

1-Turn Aeroplane
Drop N Pop**
Swirl [Any catch]*

*Swirl must be 540˚ or more. Exit the Swirl directly to a catch - not into another throw, swirl or string manoeuvre.
** From a gripped, loaded kendama, drop everything, and immediately re-catch the ken (or tama), let the tama (or ken) fall down and immediately "pop it" (string tension bounce) back up to a catch.

LATE ENTRIES STILL ACCEPTED! If you haven't entered yet, you can still enter, by posting your video for Round 1 as well as your video for Round 2 before the Round 2 deadline.

SLIGHT RULE CHANGE: When showing your kendama to the camera, please hold it STILL and fully in frame for at least 1 second. (Moving kendamas are blurry!) Thanks.

When you post your entry for round 2, you must also VOTE for your favourite entry (apart from yourself) from Round 1:

BenPycroft24

We still have to say SISI at the end of the clips as well right?

I'll try and film something tomorrow as it's my day off

Si, si, as the Italians say. :) (Yes.)

John

@BKA Please can you explain what the basic requirements for a drop n pop are?

I'm not competing this year, but would just like to give in my top 3 from the round:

3) Eelco (hella style, definitely a fun one to try)
2) Paul (Dead body, UFO to Lunar, whaaaat!)
...
1) Rhys (I'm a sucker for a good flow combo)

Definitely the three I liked the most and would personally nudge (of course, everyone else was great too!)

The Void

Well done to all 15 of you. Nice work.

Hey!! Well.... Okay, that "drop" went slightly upwards, I'll admit. Sorry.

I lost my Swirl once. It was very annoying. I found it on the beach. Have you checked your window sill?
If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

jakub.zahumensky

It's not on the windowsill, I'll check behind the fridge. But seeing how you now defined the drop and pop, it turns I was doing something else, anyway...

DanieLambert

my round1 entry sorry for the late one guys

DanieLambert

In the first round I'd have to vote for @paulsayer
Also I'm not 100% sure how to vote but I'm assuming it's just like this?
Also may round 2 entry, enjoy
@The Void

BKA

@DanieLambert Your late entry for R1 is Accepted! (But cannot be voted for.) However, this uses up your one miss, so you have to hit every deadline from now on.
Your R2 entry is also accepted.
And yes, that's how you vote, so, all good - welcome aboard!

1 vote for @paulsayer!

johndmc

Here's my round 2 entry

Round 1 vote goes to Rhys [emoji3]

Dont practice what you can do, practice what you can't! :)

BKA

@johndmc Sorry, but rejected. That doesn't meet the requirements for the Drop n Pop. There was the Drop, but no Pop. Please take Rob's version in the example video as definitive.
