Whats everbody using to film their edits?
I use a point a shoot camera and a webcam. :)
Whey for working with what you got. :P

Harry.

A lot of the earlier KE miniedits were shot with a little pentax point and shoot, that thing is no good though.
I own a Canon GL1 camera that used to work amazingly, but alas it needs new video heads or something, cause it's hella glitchy now (see my BKA contest entry :P).
The newer KE edits have been filmed on my girlfriends Canon 5D mark II. She has a high end wide angle lens for it too, absolutely awesome quality. I must admit that she's largely the mastermind behind making our edits look so good.

I've just got a little Canon FS200 camcorder, which is fairly low-spec, but seems good enough for making stuff for mainly web use.  I have a fairly substantial tripod, which obviously helps a lot.  Other than that, I use Premiere Elements for editing and Streamclip for any format conversion stuff.

Spot on. Of course, it helps if you know how to get the best out of your equipment - read the manual, use manual focus, white balance and exposure controls, etc, where available.

I'm lucky enough to have one of these:
If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

Oooh that's one of the fx series right? A guy I know has an fx-3 I believe, he uses it to film snowboarding mostly. Very nice cameras!

After finally figuring out that you can't post the actual embed codes, only the links.... Here is what I have to say!

I use a Panasonic TM700 with an igus slider and Manfrotto 501 tripod... Here our some of our (Wenatchee Kendama Team's) videos!

[Mod edit: to keep the forum tidy, the WKT vids are in this thread.]

@Jak what lights do you use?

@fiddletriks Yongnuo YN300 II. They do a smaller 160 version too. Reflect it off your ceiling and night becomes day.

I'm amazed at the video quality of the Nexus 5x, and I specially like the ability to record 120fps :-)

I've always used my phone to make my edits, but quality has been steadily increasing.

I've got one of those Yongnuo lights. It's excellent, but it only runs off Sony NP batteries, which only last 2 hours or so. Fine for a shortish session, but not so good for a proper long shoot, as you have to have a supply of charged ones. I wish there was a mains adaptor that plugged into it, but I can't find one.

My preferred alternative is to use a superpowerful multispectral light called The Sun. The trouble with that one though, is that while it gives excellent results, and lasts for 8-10 hours at optimal brightness, you do have to let it recharge every night, and that takes all night. If you want to track one down, you can get it on a Sky subscription.
