Nice 1-Turn Swap Spike, @johndmc . A good one to get in the repertoire.

Apart from a brief go at the latest Endless Combo in the kitchen (which I can't re-enter yet anyway), I've had a few days off due to work and weather. Looking forward to tomorrow's Swansea session.
These have been leaking out though....

Some cool stuff in there. I liked the chef, and the last trick.
Haavard & the Norwegian posse were showing me some very cool moves at EJC.
Somehow I don't have any kururin at the moment. I must remember to mention that to Royal next time they're sending me stuff....

So uhm, is there a spin or not? Me iz confused. Or does "any number" mean 0+?
Sorry, our fault for poor wording. Re-amended to...

168. [from Trapeze] > Reverse Tumble Fast Hand Spike
- Swing the ken on the string in and up towards you, 360° tumble. (optional: multiple tumbles)
- Release the string and let the ken fly up straight (spike upwards)
- Place the tama on the spike (mid-air), and immediately switch to ken grip. ("Fast Hand")

I think we share too many hobbies, check out this piece I wrote a while ago, it combines game design / analysis and Kendama: http://www.plattysoft.com/2016/09/14/kendama-a-game-analysis/

Other than that, turning 40 is not that bad :)

Great piece - really interesting read. I wonder if we've even met, or communicated online through the games industry. I ask because my 'specialty within a specialty' is that I do a lot of writing for publications written for game developers and the industry. I used to editor of Develop, which you might know, and now contribute as a freelancer to Develop, GamesIndustry.biz, PocketGamer.biz etc. So I'm always writing about game design, middleware, industry trends, creativity, the business side of games, studios etc... for an industry readership. I make it to conferences like various GDCs, Develop Brighton, and similar events around Europe and the US. Maybe we've met at some industry thing!
We may have indeed. I've attended several GDCs, and several pocket gamer parties :-)

really love this pic by the way !

That's Ronnie at his chewing station, as you can see by all the detritus! He'll take anything wood there to chew up, and he love stealing stuff. So it was pretty easy to know where to point my camera phone when he pinched the keyring kendama from under my nose.

Poor lad is on his own (degu's are very socially dependent - groom each other, sleep in a pile etc) as Ronnie was rejected from his group. They aren't allowed to be sold alone really, so he was up for adoption to people that work from home, so are thus there for company. He's a great lad, but having him on his own means we feel guilty all the time... and thus he has a 6ft high degu breeder cage for 20 degus. As such, he has space for his own chewing zone, the spoiled sod!
