So I have had my Tribute about 3 or 4 weeks now.  I'm noticing some wear around the cups ( doing some Moshi Kame ......check that......a lot of Moshi Kame).   I was just curious how long people keep their Kendamas in active play before retiring them to the old Kendama Home.  So what say?

It very much depends on how much you use them, what styles of tricks you do, how good (soft) your technique is, or if you play "aggressively", and onto what surfaces you drop them. Plus how many different kendamas you have "on the go" at one time. But Sam's answer of "about a year" doesn't seem unreasonable. http://www.kendama.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,906.msg6409.html#msg6409 YMMV, of course.
