Well, despite getting my arse kicked by Mirek, I had a great time. :-)

As well as enjoying the comp itself, it was really fun to spend time hanging out with the gang both before and after too. Sitting-down K.E.N. was a good giggle, and well done to Sam for killing us all with 1-T Aeroplane. It was great that Alex, Mirek and Natx all managed to make it along, it was cool to meet you Natx and Barney. Well done to Andy for winning his division in his first comp!

Harry and Thorny, you are massive losers! :-P It's your loss for not showing up.

Big thanks to David for his kind sponsorship again!
It was a great day. Thanks to everyone who came out to CLICK!
If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

Fun times had by all!

Good to see everyone, and great that Alex and Mirek made it over.  And David of course, if only for an evening!

10 hours travel on Wednesday, and a few breakfast coffees on Thursday resulted in a truly shaky tama grip during my lunchtime exam.  Poor old Void had to watch some of the most excruciating lighthouses ever (each one at least twenty seconds), I'm sure he was glad I didn't need all my attempts:)

Sorry I had to rush away in the afternoon, for BYJOTY and public show duties.

Big fails: only getting about 130 moshi kame in my test (despite a "helpful" spectator), hitting thin air in the best trick, getting taken down by Jamie in the first round of advanced.

Big wins: Got to the final of speed trick, got pre-dan, reclaimed the -ahem- scottish title, first attempt clean run of three ball big cup cascade in front of a thousand strong crowd, seeing you all and having a play.

'Til the next time

Just like to mention I had an awesome time at the BKO last week. Sadly fell at the first hurdle in every official contest (^ 14:30 to watch see the proof) but won a game of sitting down K-E-N[nb]Hence my regal new forum signature![/nb] and a gold dragon Oozoa (huge thanks MĂrek!)! Think I'm gonna have to double the practice regime for the EKO in Poland and find a way to fend off the crowd nerves!

I got some snaps on my phone and onto instagram (It was pretty dark so they're a bit grainy):

There are a couple more I'll upload later.

Donald I was way at the back but that  was still awesome (and a first!). Hopefully our precious cup and ball won't be assigned by the jugglers to the astrojax prop pile!

Hope to see you all in real life again in Poland!!!
