I'm heading down to Airculture on the 17th, to check out the local seaside clickers, and run some minicomps and more. I hear there's quite the little scene going on there, so I look forward to meeting up with them all.

I'll update this post by next weekend when I've decided on comp formats/tricks.

I'll run Kyu gradings exams (see "Skill Levels" here) for anyone who wants one. There is a fee of £2 for this, but everyone who takes one will go into a free prize draw.

APPROX SCHEDULE:
11:30-12:30 Hello! Hang out, trick swaps, jam.
12:30-14:30 Gradings and a few games.
15:00-16:00 Speed Ladders (Beg/Int/Adv). Prizes for Ladders and grading draw.
16:00-17:00 Chill jams.

SPEED LADDERS
(The tricks are the same as a previous comp, the LXG. Don't get confused by the logo in the videos. )
Use any competition-sized kendama. (Spares available to borrow.) No oversizes.
You may only enter ONE of Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced divisions.
You must complete all the tricks in a combo before moving on. (i.e. No restarting half-way through a combo.)
Read the rules in the video for each trick/combo.

BEGINNER'S DIVISION SPEED LADDER:
1. Liberty Candle > Unicorn Kneel
2. Aeroplane > Fast Hand Base Cup
3. Big Cup > Orbit > Reverse Orbit

Good times today. Had 10 players through the day (maybe the weather put some off?), 5 of whom were able to stay around for the ladders. Also 5 took gradings. I was asked several times for my "best trick", and also told several times that I was showing off. Fun games of KEN and Last Man Standing, and general play.
Cheers to Toby at Airculture for hosting. We may have to do this again sometime...
