I got some b-grade tamas from here to practice on: http://www.caseyswood.com/shoppingcart/zen-cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=159_157&products_id=2680

The imperfections range from rough spots, knots, grain voids, and small chips. For the price, you can't go wrong. A few of mine had very-near perfect surface qualities (just knots or birthmarks), while the rest had shallow chips and grain voids that were easily filled and sanded down for trying out those full-coverage, opaque paint jobs. They don't play too bad either.

if youre looking to get some practice painting wood, then go for the ones that @iamkevinluong posted. but, keep in mind that a regulation tama, or what almost every other dama includes, is 60mm. 2 1/2 inches is about 64mm. not too much of a difference, but a difference.
@Dimensions i do have blank tamas but i needs them!

my advice would be to buy the cheapest natty completes you can find and Practice
