Mirek

I always wanted to see Bristol. Thanks for that. I am looking forward to meet you all.  ;)

If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

Craftybuddy

Oh, yes!!  These dates are very hopeful for me so I'll have to start planning!!  ;D

Thanks so much Void!!  :-*  I hope to be able to meet with as many players as possible!!!

Mirek, meeting with the players is much more fun than Bristol, I believe...  :-\

Thanks again!

Dan Jam details added to http://www.kendama.co.uk/bko2013.html :
QuoteTaking into account the feedback that there are several players who do not like the "constrained tricks" element of our standard competitions, we are introducing a new freestyle division...

Any player who enters will have 60 seconds to freestyle with a competition kendama(s?). FREEstyle. Anything you like. Judges will take into account:

- i) technical skill level
- ii) presentation/style/flow
- iii) originality
- iv) success/failure rate

...each scored out of 10. Highest score wins.

The Dan Jam is only open to players with an official BKA or JKA grading of Pre-Dan or higher.

Tricklist and video for the Advanced division are complete. SRC attendees will get an advanced look, and it will be revealed publicly on Monday 29th.

Brilliant, can't attend the SRC so I'm definitely getting excited and prepared for this. Gonna be cool to meet up with everyone again and finally take my BKA Dan test! After that, got France to look forward to!

kendamatty

Dan jam sounds an amazing idea. Quite hard to judge I reckon but it'll definitely add a new fun element to competitions, with routines etc. I'm sure it'll be a right baton twirling fest ;)

shalafi

I do like the tricklist! I have to practice a few of them, but it looks nice

Half-swirl aeroplane returns, juggle big cup is cool. I love that it has bird fly over the valley.

Now, back to basics and practice trapeze to aeroplane and scoop big cup from the floor.
