Hi  :)

Just looking for a little clarification here from a BKA / JKA grading perspective . . .

Regarding the first catch in Around the Cosmos (the 'Side Spike' catch), does the hole have to be touching the side of the spike or can the tama be in any position so long as it's balanced?

It's my understanding that to do Slip on Stick correctly, the tama must start with the hole in contact with the spike, however in Around the Cosmos, as it's a throw from this original position, then perhaps it doesn't matter?

Can anyone confirm the official line on this please?

Ta!

You are correct in your assumptions.
