I'm pretty happy with 1-turn Lighthouses but finding 1-turn Aeroplanes much more difficult.

1. I'm not getting enough rotation.
2. I'm struggling to get a smooth rotation (the ken flops around like a fish in a bucket!)

Any tips?

(Knees & practice taken as read naturally  ;) )

Quote from: The Void on 08 March, 2012, 14:48:52. . . since being shown the Japanese method in Munich, I use that now:
String hole on top, 1/4 roll off fingertips on release, tug when small cup is facing you.

Wow! Just tried this and immediately had the ken rotating perfectly for the catch. A brilliant tip, thanks The Void.

Dunno if this works for everyone, but I try to imagine the catch at the levelling-out (technically still upwards motion) of the old knees after the bend, as opposed to the 'cushioning' bend, as with 1-Turn Lighthouse, for example. That's if you still need help with this one!

Cheers mate. That's handy.

The tip The Void passed on was the most effective for me. I'm getting them now, just need as ever to improve consistency!

I'm using the technique Alex shows in this tutorial. Helped me a lot!
