JKA World Open Kendama Festa 2015

[Objectives]
To promote and spread one of the Japanese traditional plays, Kendama, through World Open Kendama Festa

② World Kendama Freestyle Competition
③ Skill Challenge
④ Seminar for Licensing
⑤ Grading Exams, Skill Level Challenge Certification
⑥ Experiencing Kendama event, Introduction to JKA membership, Kendama and Kendama goods sale, etc.

@Craftybuddy is liaising with international players, so if you're thinking of going to one of the biggest kendama events ever, on the JKA's 40th anniversary, speak up!

Yesss!! Thank you @The Void for posting this, and also coming to do the Judge! I'm very proud!!   

The Saturday noon, this Pre-Festa event commences as the beginning. There will be also Grading exams for players to take, who would like to be certified for their skills. In the evening is the JKA 40th Year Anniversary Party. There will be some Kendama makers like Oozora, TK (via H Alpha), Shin Fuji, and overseas makers like Sweets, SunRise, and more coming and selling their Kendamas there.   

The Sunday is the main Festa Kendama World Open day. Freestyle competition will go on, and the main Festa Competitions.

If there are some sizeable population of players wanting to join and go to 1) Hiroshima, 2) Osaka / Kyoto or 3) touring within Tokyo, some mini tour could be arranged so more the better, etc.

More things are discussed at JKA and to be decided, but if you are interested please send me your message or you can post here (for others to see).

FUJIWARA ISSEI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

(First Round Match ～ Quarter Final Match)
Date : September 13 (Sun) 2015 / 9:00am to 10:00am
Place : Haneda Airport International Terminal / TITAT SKY HALL
(Semi Final Match and Final Match) * No third place match
Date : September 13 (Sun) 2015 / 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Place : Haneda Airport International Terminal / Edo stage
Entry Fee : 3,000JPY
* Please apply in advance via web.
* Fujiwara Issei World Championship applicants can enter Free Style and Skill Challenge without any additional fee.
* Please check in by 8:45 am on the day.
Compatition
– Use a Kendama certified by JKA
– Players who are worth of Sho-dan or more and guest players match up with
prescribed tricks. Tricks are decided by lot.
– A tournament bracket is decided by lot on the day.
Match
– A Player who has his/her name listed on the left or up performs first.
– A trick must be started within 15 seconds from a judgement's start sign then must be
finished within 40 seconds.
– 3 trials for each trick
– If the bout is not over after 3 trials, it ends in draw.
– If the game is 0-0 or 1-1 after 4 bouts ( 6 bouts for final ), players fight it out by
sudden-death play-off by lot.
* Sudden death play-off : A player chooses a trick by lot and each player tries it just
once. The player continues playing and the game ends as soon as one of them gains
the lead.
– The game ends when one of the players wins 2 bouts. ( At the final, 3 bouts )
