Have to do something about the auto-focus on this camera!
Filmed with the new and yet-to-be-released orange Pro-K. Was a little out of frame on the pop-up, hope this is ok, Sonicpearse?

Sorry, we're going to over-rule straight away. The trick may have been executed acceptably, but...
Quote from: BKA on 28 June, 2014, 12:23:17Trick Rules
- Hold the start and finish positions of the combo still for a couple of seconds please.
That's
a) a rule
b) a rule in bold
c) a VERY EASY rule to obey
d) a rule that people keep forgetting
We are now taking a stand! HOLD YOUR POSITIONS, people!

So, sorry milky, but rejected.
But you can do it again!

Eek.  :-[

Ok, I guess I'll have to start over again.

EDIT: Ok, got it. Just have to hope nobody beats me to the upload. This laptop thinks it can behave like Douglas Adams's Deep Thought all the time.

EDIT 2: Done! Fingers crossed!

Bit dodgy lighting but perfectly executed trick.

Sorry guys, would have been ok had I not fumbled the first take!

Ok, the trick is [from Lunar] > Lunar Rover

(to save a bit of archive plundering: with the big cup touching the tama at all times, swing the ken 180° to rest at Opposite Lunar)

180˚ is a Half Rover, but cool.

DamaLife24, The Void, Dimensions, Kev, kendamatty, SamB, mreasyguy, Dimensions, the milky oolong, jsirois31, shalafi, donald grant & Sonicpearse are now entered into the prize draw for rounds 76-100.

Next trick is:
95. [from Moon Landing] > Half Lunar Rover
-With the big cup touching the tama at all times, swing/pivot the ken 180° to rest at Opposite Lunar

Trick Rules
- You cannot reply to your own trick.
- You must wait to re-enter until 5 other people have done a combo after you set one.
- You must wait to have your attempt verified by the previous setter before setting the next step.
- Use any competition-sized kendama.
- You should start the new transition from the finish position of the previous trick. i.e. You can just place the kendama into position. You don't have to do the previous move, but you can if you want to. But if so remember to...
- Hold the start and finish positions of the combo still for a couple of seconds please.
Video Rules (To help for a nicer compilation video)
- Make sure you have adequate lighting. Please film in daylight if possible. Clips usually look very poor in artificial light.
- Please film in Landscape, not Portrait, not Square.
Successful entrants get put in the prize draw.
donald grant, DamaLife24, Dimensions, Sonicpearse & the milky oolong must sit out round 95.
Good luck everyone!

Perdón, BKA. Noted. Half Lunar Rover is the trick I had in mind. Good luck, guys, will be clacking along with you!

If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

Hey, that's just great! I approve!

So, as Void is on his merry way to (I think) Ireland right now, he's asked me - pending my afore-given approval - to state his desired next trick, which I gladly reveal to be:

"[from Opposite Lunar] > Fast Hand Knee Stab
i. Throw ken and tama up together
ii. Catch ken (preferably pen grip, but not required)
iii. Stab tama into the top of your raised knee/thigh.
iv. Remain balanced on one leg, holding tama in contact with leg, for 3 seconds.
See 0m21s of for a Knee Stab." ~ The Void

Ouch, sounds promisingly painful for the inaccurate Stabbers out there. All down with that?

I have been trying this every now and then, and I think stabbing is doable (just need more practice) but the knee part I'm not so sure about...
