Pure beeswax?

I've stumbled upon a stash of 100% pure beeswax. I'm tempted to have a go at giving a spare natural cheapo kendama I have a coating (or some) to see how it comes out. All I know about beeswaxing wood is that often it's about hand applying thin layers, rubbing them in slowly, letting it dry, and applying another super thin layer.

Anybody know anymore about this specifically relevant to kendamas, and even if it's worth doing?

I use beeswax from tool station it's only a fiver it shines your kendamas up loads I use it on my krom but haven't used it on my yancys not sure if it will effect the lunar balance
