I'll be in Edinburgh on 11/15 to 11/17 and in London from 11/18 to 11/24.  Are there any regular meet-ups of kendama folks happening where we could drop by?  There's five of us traveling together.  Two of us play with kendama.  All of us juggle.

The London Juggling Convention is on the 24th Nov. BUT it is advanced-ticket only, and less than 50 are left. Get them very soon if you want to come.

I'll be there.

I'm not sure which London workshop SamB goes to....
If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

Darn!  We actually leave on the 24th around noon, so that won't work.

Are there any regular kendama meet ups during the week?

SamB

Hey,

In terms of juggling there is the oddballs workshop near Camden on Wednesdays https://www.oddballs.co.uk/circus-spinning-juggling-workshops
I think there may be others but I haven't been to them, a good place to ask would be in the oddballs shop in Camden market.

On Mondays 7-9ish there is Balls at UCL normally in the North Cloisters (sometimes South Cloisters) of the Wilkins building which I will most likely be at with people who do all kinds of props including a little kendama (except me in which case a lot of kendama!) -> Google maps link -> http://bit.ly/P5crHm -> through those gates and in through a door kind of behind where that van is in the streetview picture.

There is also unicycle hockey near Dalston and Imperial college juggle on a Wednesday I think. If you came to Balls I'm sure someone would know! a way of juggling the whole time you're here!

If you need anymore info don't hesitate to get in touch and hopefully we'll see you in a month!

I will also be at the London convention Void!

Cool, see you there!

Robin, I assume you know about http://jugglingedge.com/clublistings.php?Country=UK& ?
Clubs are listed North-to-South, so you'll find the London ones near the bottom.

My kendama buddy, Penny, is over right now and we're looking at your posts.  Thanks for the info.  We are planning on going to Oddballs near Camden on Wednesday, November 21.  We'll try to go  Balls at UCL on Monday night.  It looks like a easy walk from the tube station.  Is this location inside or outside and do you know what building you'll be meeting at on November 19th?

We're really disappointed that we'll miss the London juggling festival, but it's too late to change our travel plans at this point!!

If you or anyone you know is going to be in Minnesota in February, we have the MONDO festival in St. Paul, Minnesota over the weekend of February 16th.  This will include the Minnesota State kendama championships.  Here is our link:  http://www.mondofest.org/.

We aren't as hardcore, but we have a lot of fun!

Normally we're inside unless fire is involved but I don't think we're allowed fire on weekdays. It's normally North Cloisters but occasionally we get moved on by some swanky event going on but it's only the other side of the building to the South Cloisters. There is always a pub trip afterwards too!

Great!  We are going to try and make it.
