If you don't want to BUY MY BOOKS 😉, then why not ask your local library to order them in, and read them for free? That would help too. Cheers!

Just getting everything ready as we speak.

Here we go!

Stamp It. Stomp It. (SISI) is an online kendama competition with the aim of you really showing off your own style and having the freedom to incorporate your favourite tricks.

There is a prize of £15 (sent via PayPal or bank transfer), which could get someone a cheap kendama or be put towards a more expensive one.
Another prize, a Ken Co Orca Girr (pictured below), will also be up for grabs. This kendama was donated by @ltdama. The person that gets the furthest in this competition can chose to take the money or the kendama and the other prize will go to the runner up!

RULES
* Perform the trick (or tricks) for that round in one combo, in any order you like.
* Any recognisable variation of a trick (e.g. grip type) unless specified otherwise, will be accepted.
* Post your video links right here on this thread!
* Head-mount footage is okay - Player must be able to back themselves up with evidence if there is a dispute.
* The combo must end with a spiked tama, in any grip.
* Each round will be approximately a week but possibly reduced towards the later stages of the comp.
* No trick lengths will be timed, however I do expect some degree of control.
* Entries must be completed before the deadline.
* Video quality has to be adequate, and filmed in landscape.
* Tricks must remain in frame, although I will have some digression.
* Competition sized, wooden kendamas only.
* One entry per round.
* No cuts or editing (including slow-mo) during your combos.
* Any person in the competition has the right to dispute a trick.
* Referee (@Jak) has the final say on a decision.
* If only one player posts a video in a round, second place will go to the person that posted first in the previous round
* Post your video links right here on this thread!(Did I say that already?)

Going to miss a week due to EKO or a holiday? Don't worry, you can miss one round of the competition, however you must post the missed round along with the video for the following week. That's a one late entry second chance!
:)

BKA has also kindly donated another prize to the person who performs the most creative line as voted by the players. This will be a Beech Su Lab kendama (also pictured below!). After each round the players will vote for their favourite; the top voted video of each round will go into the final where one last vote on will happen to find the overall winner.

Voting rules:
# Any videos posted will not be accepted until AFTER that contestant's has voted. (New rule 31/08/16)
# you can only vote if you're still in the competition or voting in the final.
# you can only vote for one person
# your vote should be based on skill, creativity or originality
# you do not have to give a reason for your vote unless asked to by the referee
# Late entries can not be voted for
# The round winner will be announced at deadline -  no late votes.
# if only 2 people are in the competition the referee will vote
# your vote should be posted alongside your next video entry.

Good luck!

Getting straight on this now. Does the rule of no editing only raw clips apply I guess as well?

Quote from: Jak on 17 July, 2016, 17:59:06I would like to donate another prize to the person who performs the most creative line as voted by the players. However, at the moment this prize is unknown. I would be massively grateful to anybody who wishes to donate one of their kendamas.
@Jak  BKA will donate a beechwood SuLab natural for this prize.

That would be fantastic!

Swing 1 turn lighty string bounce to lighthouse to in :) never actually did this before but always wanted to and this comp kind of pushed me to actually get it haha

If you require better lighting or angle then let me know!

Edit: can we enter more than once each round incase we think of something more unique? @Jak

@fiddletricks, I'm going to say it's a limit of one entry per round; I think that would be most fair to people who have less time to film than others. I'll edit the rules.
Don't worry though, that's a creative entry! Accepted!
