Sorry it has taken me this long to start the next challenge. I have been busy with kendama related things I assure you ;D
You may have noticed that I created a hashtag for this consistency challenge. I don't think enough people utilize this forum so I am going to try and change that. Here is what I want to try. Everyone who films for this challenge should take a picture or write a post while you are out and use the hastag #birdsfordays to tag your pic or post. This may give away the nature of the challenge but its all good. In the post you should also include the website www.kendama.co.uk (http://www.kendama.co.uk) and tell people to join the Forum and compete!
I will post a photo of the Limited Run Sweets Kendama Prize tomorrow!
Contest will start at 11:59AM CST on October 31st, 2012 HALLOWEEN!
-Sweets
So here is the prize for the winner. A Sweets Aisuru Chameleon Kendama. This thing looks amazing in the sunlight!
So here is the #birdsfordays challenge. I wanted to make one really hard. I think this will do. I tried to explain the tricks as best I can. Good Luck! The timer starts now.
Around The Big Bird : ( Big Cup -> Big Bird -> Little Cup -> Big Bird -> Bottom Cup -> Big Bird -> Spike)
Around the Little Bird : ( Big Cup -> Little Bird -> Little Cup -> Little Bird -> Bottom Cup -> Little Bird -> Spike)
Bird Over The Valley -> To Spike
Bird Ball Flip Bird -> To Spike
Bird Double Ball Flip Bird -> To Spike
does this have to be done in one line no mess ups

I think it sure will! That's a very tough challenge, but a very nice looking prize for whoever nails it.
Yes, bonzatron. To quote from the rules from KCC#1 by Donald:
Quote from: donald grant on 23 September, 2011, 17:27:05Remember the rules: all tricks, in order, no cuts or sneaky edits. First to post a video of it in this thread wins [the prize], the glory and the right to create and name the next consistency challenge.
This is a tough one. That bird -> double turn -> bird alone is way harder than I thought it would be!
Looking forward to it.
i did all tricks with practice,
first 3 combo's getting well.
everytime i get busted on Bird Ball Flip Bird -> To Spike and the Bird Double Ball Flip Bird -> To Spike.
i hope i have some more time, first i need a beer to relax.
try again with more pauze between the combo's
for all the competitors, good luck
this is a tough one
Oh Alex is doing it... Why try.. :0
haha, don't worry,
i don't have much time left to try this, untill saterday or sunday,
i was close 3 times in the 1,5 hour i tried this ladder
i think other players will get this soon as well
Can we use any dama we'd like for this?
the past contest only a JKA and EKA kendama like SunRise, Play kendama, ozora, TK16, shin fuji, Mugen, Sakura kendamas were alowed
i don't know if Matt Sweets have won his last round with a sweets kendama,
but i think British kendama have to tell you this,
for me it does not matter, it is all about technic. but i did not make the rules for this one
i love to do birds with a Shin Fuji rokurosen red stripes
All of the above mentioned kendamas are allowed. Including Sweets. As long as that is fine with The Void. Just make sure it is formal size. No jumbos or minis.
Lol so just to be clear before I start trying to film we can use anything as long as it's competition sized?
Yeah sure.

Actually, those are our "live" competition rules, but after having gone back to check, it's never been mentioned in the KCCs, apart from #10, where "competition size" was stated.
So, standard/competition size, any brand.
Ok, this one has me interested, been a while since I got my bird on.
Tonight after band practise I might have to bring out my old crappy camera and try this out....
Can we start with little cup for those around stuffs? Because i think it would be an advantage for american players who use to do arounds that way (big cup 1st) whereas european players (and japonese ones) use do start with little cup.
Anyway i think i did it:
Concistency Challenge (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5VzrE8rlpo#ws)
Looks like a clean run to me! Can't believe someone did it that quick! congrats! Send me a personal message and I will send the dama your way soon!
but it is from small cup start....i think it is not finish.
Ahah thank you man! It wasn't easy but I finally managed it in little more than an hour. Great challenge by the way. Now starts the harder thing: find the most difficult consistency challenge for you guys... and a good enough prize! Stay tuned!
i hope you can't win the game haha...just kidding.becaus i did it too,but i am too late,anyway congrats man.just wait the next Challenge ;)
Consistency Challenge #17 - Li Ho Cheung (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGTc6mJU24k#ws)
Wow. I really thought that would be tough for anyone to get within a month. I guess I underestimated the birdability of you guys. But 2 people getting it within a day!?! Wow. Nice work guys.
We have updated the KCC Roundup thread (http://www.kendama.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,448.0.html) with the result, and also added Rules and Guidelines there. (It only took until #17!!)
great and congratulations to both entrees.
i only have to say one thing,
following and play by the rules is the main thing, the tricks were written out and the ladder have to start with the big cup to bird to start with.
i know dadooh ask about it if it was possible to do start with the little cup, but that was not written down.
(I'm also used to it to start with the little cup on every trick that named Around the . . . . . )
on the Li ho Cheung the bird tricks are more a bird stall and not a proper landing (i mean with hold it for one second), it is not a speedtrick challenge but a consistency.
don't get me wrong here i do have respect for both players because they really great, but there are some rules and basics everyone know here that are following those consistency ladders from the start.
i only want to mention this to give everybody the same chances, and play by the rules(basics), and do the tricks that are listed in the exactly order.
what do you guys think?
(i'm not writing this because i was close, but just to mention about how i think about be fair, for everyone that like to play and take part)
i think if there isn't any agreements the next following consistency rounds, then it could be hard to make decisions (good or not)
i personaly dont thinks it matters that much from what cup you start.. but from now i think is better if we did what Alex said..some basics ruls !! Congrats both of you !!! the first post is the winner...i now that better i was beaten by 10 seconds:)))
