Kernow Kendama

Right then...... So Kernow Kendama is becoming more of a group now promoting Kendama play in Cornwall.
I'm going along to a local festival in 2 weeks to run some kendama workshops. I'm helping a friend of mine who runs a circus skills company. He has a lot of experience running workshops but has never done Kendama.

Does anyone have any hints, tips or general ideas they can give? The groups will be around 10 people and last for an hour.

All help greatly received.

BKA

Stick to the standard 11 Kyu tricks. Show them the grips, and the knees technique. For an hour that should be plenty for (presumably?) complete beginners. If you have any 'naturals' then you can set them 'extra challenges', e.g. "...and then after the Aeroplane, how about a Jumping Stick?".

What is the festival, and where, and when? There's an outside chance of a BKA visit....

Kernow Kendama
