Title: Kendamaco Pro models
Post by: kendamski on 25 October, 2013, 03:10:20
I am really curious if anyone has gotten there hands on one.  How is do they play and how is the paint.  I know it is sourmash so it should be satisfactory.  And specifically, i would like to know about the sam merkel model, because he is one of my favorites haha

It's all about preference dude! A lot of the time you might just have to rely on a brands reputation to at least know it's not gonna be crap haha. The big brands all mostly have solid playability and it really just comes down to preference between players (some players prefer light damas, some prefer heavy, etc.) I think if he is your favourite player you should take the plunge, show your support and get yourself a new dama!

Please note: I have never played a sam merkel pro model kendama and have no context of its playability haha.

And while sometimes you might need to purchase a dama without actually knowing how it plays, hearing other people's opinions can be really helpful! If you end up getting it, post your own review!

Cheers

Okay thank you, I appreciate the advice.  I might have to get it now haha.  And I imagine it would be great since it is a pro model.  I mean,  a pro is gonna want a nice kendama to rep his name.  But you never know.

Cheers :)

I have the Stergios pro model. I really like it. I dig Shenzhu's. some don't. The Sourmash paint is great. No issues so far.
I think the only reason there still up is because the pictures do not do them justice. The Stergios is amazing in person.
