Haha! I just noticed a theme that is "They stopped playing video games and started playing kendama!" and that the last time I seriously played a game was just before I got a kendama. Kendama is killing the games industry!

^ Haha this is true for me too. I used to play a lot of Halo 3, and got pretty good at it. There was a solid year where I was gaming hard - a friend of mine was a really solid player too and we went to some local competitions and things like that.
Then kendama came along, and now instead of vegging out on the couch I throw wooden toys around my basement. I'm certainly in better shape, can't say the same for my basement walls / ceiling though.

my friends and I used to have COD parties at sleepovers two summers ago, now we have kendama parties.

The video game connection isn't exactly a new phenomena.  Back in 1986, I was playing on my old Atari computer a lot.  The problem with that machine, though, was that the games would take as long as 10-15 minutes to load from the cassette player.  So, while I was waiting, I started messing around, trying to juggle some tennis balls that happened to be in the same room.  It wasn't long before I found myself carrying on with the juggling, even once the game had loaded.  Eventually, I just stopped loading the games to start with.  I think many of you know how the story panned out after that...

I can't say that I'm totally 'over' video games, though, as a recent Temple Run habit more than proved!

This. Except for me it wasn't video games, it was throwing parties ha ha! I gotta say though, the constant pumping of my legs has given me a hell of a 6 pack over the last few months. Who needs to run ever again with cardio that's this fun :)

Ahh the manor. Probably the weirdest party of my life was within that moustached place. Ended up sleeping with all the rest of Gazelle sideways on Rod's bed. I felt bad for Ryan, he had to wake up to track drums at like 7am haha

If I ever learn what that means I think I'll die happy. Kendama leg workout is a little known benefit. We'll all be Chris Hoy in no time![nb]http://roadcyclinguk.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/chris-hoy1.jpg[/nb][nb]Sorry I derailed the thread slightly...[/nb]

Cool. 18m25-33m
Summary:
Game show: Give someone a challenge, and a week to train, then if they pass the challenge, they win prizes. Novice to kendama has to get Spike, Aeroplane and Around The World in 5 attempts (if I understood that right). Quite a stiff challenge for a week's play... Will he get it? Watch to find out...

At about 25 he starts using his knees - and voilà ... it's becoming better
26:38 is my favourite
And what do we learn? More knees :)
